The Foodbank is More Than Just Food Provision

‘Our vision is to see a Craigavon in which no one would live in fear or the shame of hunger, unsure of where their next meal might come from.’

To see this vision turn into reality, we can’t hope to do it all by ourselves. For this reason, we are really proud to have built up such a strong referral network and relationship with over 50 local agencies.

Some of these referral partners include:

·        ABC Community Advice

·        ABC Council

·        PIPS

·        Salvation Army

.        Southern Health & Care Trust

. Extern

. Women’s Aid

. Local MLA offices

·        Sure Start

·        Asda/Tesco

·        Trussell Trust

As a part of the Trussell network, we partner with other food banks across the UK to grow and develop our practices.

How Craigavon Foodbank Works

Steps for food donation and distribution: 1. Food is donated by the public, churches, schools, and businesses. 2. Volunteers sort and pack items at the warehouse into individual or family packs. 3. Clients are referred by trusted partners. 4. Food parcels are collected at distribution centers. 5. Ongoing support and follow-up help clients continue to receive support and avoid needing the food bank again.
